Tyggen is mostly correct. When he refers to a Mission Critical NPC dying, it's one of those "the NPC died now the whole party sync-dies" things. It doesn't affect your chances of Survivor at all. Also, the orientation thing for Factions has you "killed" very early, yet if you type /deaths it still says 0. This is referred to as a mission where you have to die, and this death will not affect your chances of obtaining Survivor.

Survivor titles
I have kind of a statement.. and a question. I worked pretty darn hard to earn the Survivor title with my assasin. And achieved getting lvl 1 survivor.. wich then I set my goals at gaining the lvl 2 Indomitable Survivor. To gain 587,500 exp without dyeing. Well.. I did All the Quests up to the Vizunah square mission.. gaining nearly 300,000 exp. In that mission.. Everyone dies at the end! But without the mission I couldnt advance!! And.. because it was a "required" in game death.. dureing a movie thing or whatever they call it .. I didnt think it was fair that death counted and ruined my chance at getting the lvl 2 surivor title.. Any one else think it unfair?
(and as a side note.. I was informed by the GW support staff to post the question on the forums to obtain opinions and feedback, so please be honest. ) |

unfortunatly.. It did count. Death count 1.. and the survivor title stopped gaining at 274k exp.. wich I now have 310k. And.. where does it confirm it at?? Because if thats true.. I'd like to send it to the support team.

Yeah, Vizunah Square death doesn't count. I just passed my Ritualist survivor that mission, and now up to HzH/Cavalon. Tho I have a deathcount too now, somewhere between Boreas Seabed and Sunjiang District ><; No clue where it came from :B

I am 100% sure there was no deaths in between. I've had some realy awesome monks on my side. And a little bit of caution goes a long way. And just retested it with my Monk.. checked death count before and after the cinema.. and it counted 1 death up as well. Perhaps it was because the cinema wasnt skipped.. who knows.. but it sure is annoying to work so hard for something to lose it because of the Cinema.

I have a ritulist down at vasburg armory with 0 /deaths so it cannot count, you must have died in game.

If you couldn't get past Vizunah without dying, the picture in the link would not be possible. As I recall, most of my cut scenes have been skipped. Other deaths in cut scenes or as part of missions do not count, as have been tested. We should test this specific mission to be sure. However, I think it is more likely that you died during the cut scene due to damage inflicted before and during the scene ? Perhaps you had a degen hex or condition on you when the scene triggered ? Those deaths do count.

Mes went through viznuh, no deaths. Do think we skipped the cutscene but its hard to believe that a cinema thinger would trigger a deathcount.. :| Sorry, if thats indeed the case.

it isn't the cut scene. and someone already point out the obvious flaw in the statement, he must have died somewhere way before the mission because he said it stop at 274k xp but he got 310k now, which i doubt the vizunah mission would give out that amount of xp.

Your experience points from where you have stated seems to tell that you died somewhere in Kaineng City before that mission, and didn't think about it til after - and assumed this cutscene did it. Deaths mean so little in this game (3 sec down time at best...) that its sometimes hard to keep count of them if you are into the game. On a Warrior I made, I assumed I hasn't died and continued to get experience for two days before I checked and found out I had died somewhere.
But, It IS Confirmed (on GuildWiki atleast, with several people confirming it) that a bug exists in the mission where you can get deaths counted during that cutscene when certain conditions are met, so its just as possible that you actually did get "shafted" sort to speak. |

Well, in the vizuah square (or what ever its called :P) in the cutscene that IS counted as a death, so dont do that mission if you want to attaint survivor

I deleted the character and started again! At least now I know where the death was from. Man I had about an hour just sitting there wracking my brains trying to recall where I'd died. |
